The Federal Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Tax Credit Expires December 31, 2020

Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) purchased and installed before December 31, 2020, is eligible for a tax credit of 30% of the cost of both the purchase and installation (does not include sales tax, permits). The credit is capped at $1,000 for residential installations and $30,000 for commercial installations. Charging station owners who install qualified equipment at multiple sites are allowed to use the credit towards each location. The full details can be viewed on the U.S. Department of Energy website.
